TERMS & CONDITIONS
(Last updated: January 2026)
1. Introduction
Welcome to Little Peaks Nannies (“we”, “our”, or “the Agency”).
Little Peaks Nannies is a professional childcare matchmaking and booking agency that connects families (“Clients”) with independent, self-employed childcare providers (“Nannies”).
The Agency acts solely as an intermediary between Clients and Nannies. All Nannies operate as independent contractors and are not employees of Little Peaks Nannies.
For matching, coordination, administration, and booking services, the Agency charges a one-time reservation fee, which is separate from any payment made directly to the Nanny.
By booking or using our services, Clients confirm that they understand and accept the independent nature of the relationship between the Agency and the Nannies.
2. Scope of Services
The Agency’s role is to:
identify and introduce suitable Nannies based on the Client’s needs,
coordinate bookings and schedules,
facilitate communication prior to the start of services.
While all Nannies are carefully screened, availability is subject to demand and scheduling.
Bookings are made with Little Peaks Nannies for childcare services on the agreed dates, not with any specifically named Nanny. While we always aim to honour the originally proposed match, we cannot guarantee that the originally introduced Nanny will remain available. If necessary, the Agency may provide a suitable replacement Nanny.
In exceptional cases, the Agency’s founder may personally provide childcare services. In such cases, she acts solely as an independent Nanny and is subject to the same terms and conditions as any other Nanny in the Agency’s network.
Little Peaks Nannies does not provide employment, payroll, HR, tax, or insurance services for Nannies.
3. Booking Requirements & Minimum Commitment
To secure a booking, the Agency charges a one-time reservation fee. This fee covers nanny matching, coordination, availability checks, scheduling, administration, and securing a Nanny for the confirmed dates. The fee is separate from the Nanny’s hourly payment.
The reservation fee is:
150 € for Peak Week bookings (including school holidays, festive periods, and other high-demand weeks),
80 € for standard, non-peak bookings,
60 € for last-minute bookings made within 7 days of the start date.
The reservation fee is non-refundable and will be fully refunded only if the Agency is unable to provide any Nanny at all for the confirmed booking.
Minimum booking requirements remain:
Peak weeks: 5–6 consecutive days (as specified by the Agency), minimum 6 hours per day.
Non-peak weeks: minimum 4 days per week, minimum 4 hours per day.
4. Payment for Nanny Services
Clients pay Nannies directly, as agreed between the Client and the Nanny.
The Agency does not handle payments for childcare services beyond the reservation fee.
Nannies are solely responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and legal obligations.
Clients are required to pay only for childcare services actually provided. No payment is due for hours or days not worked.
5. Reservation Fee & Cancellation Policy
The reservation fee is non-refundable, except where the Agency is unable to provide any Nanny at all for the confirmed booking.
If the Client cancels a booking:
More than 7 days before the start date: no additional charges apply, but the reservation fee remains non-refundable.
Within 7 days of the start date: a late cancellation fee of 60 € applies.
Clients are encouraged to obtain appropriate travel or cancellation insurance.
6. Nanny Illness or Unavailability
If a Nanny becomes ill, injured, or otherwise unavailable before or during a confirmed booking:
the Nanny will inform the Client and the Agency as soon as reasonably possible,
the Agency will make reasonable efforts to arrange a suitable replacement Nanny, subject to availability,
replacement coverage is not guaranteed, particularly during Peak Weeks or high-demand periods.
If a suitable replacement Nanny is offered, the booking will be treated as capable of performance by the Agency, and the reservation fee remains non-refundable.
If the Agency is unable to provide any Nanny at all for the confirmed booking, the reservation fee will be fully refunded.
Clients are not required to pay for childcare services not provided.
Illness, injury, or force-majeure events affecting a Nanny are outside the Agency’s control.
7. Child Illness Policy
The health and safety of both children and Nannies is a priority.
Nannies are not expected or required to provide care for children who are actively unwell, particularly where symptoms may be contagious.
This includes, but is not limited to, vomiting, diarrhoea, fever, or other potentially contagious conditions.
The Agency does not assess, diagnose, or determine the cause of illness. Decisions are based on observed symptoms, not assumed causes (e.g. teething or mild seasonal colds).
If a child becomes unwell:
the Client is responsible for making alternative childcare arrangements or providing parental care,
the Nanny has the right to decline or discontinue care for the affected child without penalty,
no payment is due for childcare services not provided due to child illness.
8. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to:
provide accurate and complete information about their childcare needs,
inform the Agency and the Nanny of any relevant medical conditions, allergies, or routines,
ensure the Nanny works in a safe and appropriate environment,
pay the Nanny promptly for services provided,
not privately contact or hire Nannies introduced by the Agency without prior written consent.
Any direct arrangement made within three (3) years of an introduction by the Agency will result in a fee equal to the Agency’s standard booking charge.
9. Nanny Responsibilities
Nannies are responsible for:
holding valid personal liability and accident insurance,
managing their own tax, health, and social security obligations,
providing professional, safe, and respectful childcare,
maintaining confidentiality of all Client and child information,
reporting any incident or concern to both the Client and the Agency.
10. Limitation of Liability
Little Peaks Nannies acts exclusively as a booking intermediary and shall not be liable for:
any injury, loss, accident, or damage occurring during childcare or related travel,
the actions or omissions of any Client or Nanny,
any arrangements made outside the Agency’s coordination.
While all Nannies are screened and reference-checked, the Agency cannot guarantee compatibility, uninterrupted service, or the continued availability of any specifically named Nanny.
11. Winter Season & High-Season Availability
During Peak Weeks:
the Agency works exclusively with a vetted team of Nannies,
minimum booking requirements apply as outlined in Section 3,
availability is limited and early booking is strongly recommended.
Clients are advised to hold appropriate travel and personal liability insurance during their stay.
12. Data Protection & Privacy
Personal data is handled in accordance with GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679).
Data is collected solely for booking and coordination purposes.
Data is stored securely with restricted access.
Data is not sold or shared with third parties except where necessary to complete bookings.
Data is retained for a maximum of three (3) years after the last booking.
13. Changes to These Terms
The Agency may update these Terms at any time.
All updates will be published on the Agency’s website with a revised effective date.
Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
